Shape of Acoustic Guitar

These are the most common guitar's shape that we can see, just here to give a few intro to them.

Dreadnought

Martin D-28
Dreadnought was invented by Martin & Co in the early period of 20 century. The Dreadnought style has since been copied by other guitar manufacturers and is now a common style of guitar body. Dreadnought is sometimes misspelled as "Dreadnaught".

The dreadnought guitar body is larger than most other guitars that existed at the time of its creation, and thus results in a bolder and often louder tone. In 1916 the word 'dreadnought' referred to a large, modern superbattleship of the type inaugurated by HMS Dreadnought in 1906. The distinctive marks of a Dreadnought guitar are square shoulders and bottom. The neck is usually attached to the body at the 14th fret.

Recommend for unplugged accompany playing and fingerstyle, a guitar with wide range performance.

Jumbo
Gibson L200 Emmylou Harris

Compare to Dreadnought, Jumbo is actually a bit wider, almost as deep, but a bit more pinched in at the "waist." All in all, though, the body has a smaller air volume than the dreadnought, the jumbo has the deepest bass response of any other guitar shape.

Martin makes the same size guitar with a shallower body, called the "0000," and named "grand auditorium size."

Special styling, and big voice made this guitar a favorite of the country and blues scene of the 1940s and 50s. Jumbo is also the favourite of Elvis~

Grand Auditorium
Taylor 214
An Auditorium size, number "000" which is sometimes known as "OM" for Orchestra Model. There are subtle differences between 000 and OM, chiefly the width of the neck, but they are the same size guitar, and about 15" wide.

OM Guitar deliver a very clear sound of middle tone, so it's ideal for fingerstyle and plucking.

Parlour
Washburn R314K 125th Anniversary
Parlor or parlour guitar usually refers to a type of smaller-bodied guitar smaller than that of a concert guitar. Their defining characteristics are a brightness of tone and an often surprising volume for such small guitars. Although they might be underpowered compared to larger guitars, modern amplification has made sound volume a non-issue. Good to express music style like Staccato.

Traveller
Washburn RO20
The definition of "Traveller" isn't the shape of the guitar's body, but it's usage. Due to it's smaller body with fingerboard in regular size, it is easier to carry around and sing a long as you travel~ Please note that this is full size guitar, but not a half size guitar with smaller fingerboard.
